Group Aims and Objectives

HS Friends is a new support group for people suffering with Hidradenitis Suppurativa. We are based in the UK but we aim to have members from all over the World hence the name HS Friends.

HS Friends is a forum-style group with different sections all under one roof. We feel that the most Important section be one of support to people who suffer with Hidradenitis Suppurativa so they no longer feel on their own dealing with a condition that is very painful and often difficult to treat. This can make the sufferer feel very alone and isolated

Members will be able to chat and offer each other support as well as members offering each other years of valuable experience.

HS Friends also aims to deliver a strong research and information section which will endeavour to bring all the latest research findings together in one place. These papers will include the authors details and their source. The research papers and information available in this section are there for interest and guidance only, please note that HS Friends are not responsible for the content of external pages.


To encourage research in all aspects of Hidradenitis. Our aim is to have the Medical profession involved with the group so that our members can work together with the medical profession in the hope that we can find the cause and the cure for Hidradenitis Suppurativa.


We have a Suggestions section in our forum as we feel it is important that every person involved in the group is entitled to be part of the groups development and growth.


Finally we have a lounge where we can let out hair down and play puzzles, quizzes and tell jokes. We feel this section is a wonderful addition for members who because of their HS, are often very isolated, and some even house-bound.
